According to media reports, Irys completed a $10 million Series A funding round on August 21, 2025. Investors in this round include CoinFund, Hypersphere Ventures, Amber Group, Tykhe Ventures, Varrock, Breed VC, WAGMi Ventures, and Echo Group. Following this financing, Irys’s total funding has reached $18.7 million.Irys is a Layer-1 data chain project designed specifically for AI, integrating a low-cost storage layer with a high-performance, EVM-compatible execution layer (IrysVM) to enable programmable data capabilities. The project traces its origins back to October 2023, when it was rebranded from Bundlr to Irys. Over the past two years, Irys has completed multiple funding rounds, including a $5.2 million round in May 2022 and a $3.5 million strategic investment in June 2024.Notably, Irys successfully launched its testnet in January 2025, demonstrating the project's technical strength and development potential.
