According to the New York Post, police sources and individuals familiar with the past relationships of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman revealed that the victim investors in the $11 million crypto assets case that occurred in San Francisco had previously been involved with Sam Altman. A source familiar with the investigation stated that the assailant stole $11 million worth of Ether and Bitcoin, which is believed to be a deliberate attack by an organized crime group. The assailant bound and tortured the victim while beating him, forcing him to hold his phone on speaker, where a foreign voice broadcasted his personal information. Subsequently, the thief poured liquid on the victim and emptied his crypto wallet over approximately 90 minutes. Insiders revealed that the homeowner of the crime scene is Lachy Groom, a 31-year-old venture capitalist and former boyfriend of Sam Altman.
