Today I added a personalized emoji to my name @irys_xyz (✧ᴗ✧).
Not only because the expressions are cute, but also a firm manifestation of the determination to move forward together with irys.
There are not many promising projects, so we must seize the opportunity.

Today I want to talk to you about the features of IrysVM and briefly share my understanding.

What is IrysVM:
I think IrysVM is the heart of the Irys project; it is a virtual machine designed for seamless collaboration between smart contracts and data. Unlike most blockchains that separate storage and execution, it integrates both into a single network, allowing contracts to directly manipulate data and accomplish tasks that others cannot.

Key features of IrysVM:
It is somewhat similar to the Ethereum Virtual Machine, but it allows direct connection to Irys's data ledger. I can add attributes to the data, making it programmable without having to jump between different protocols.

How IrysVM Works:
Its working method integrates storage and execution into a network. When building applications, it can add programmable attributes to data, allowing it to automatically handle ownership or royalties, etc. Storage and contract transactions run through separate channels, preventing resource contention, maintaining stable costs, and ensuring system reliability.

Benefits and Functions of IrysVM:
Build applications with it, and data is no longer a dead thing, but a flexible and low-cost asset. Transaction costs are predictable, and scaling is easy. In the Irys ecosystem, it integrates storage and execution, making it particularly suitable for AI and DePIN. It is much stronger than Filecoin's cold storage or Arweave's high prices, allowing direct use of data to build apps on the chain with less reliance on other infrastructure. In the future, adding L2 will allow for expansion and support for dataset bridging.
