Canalys: Q1 US desktop and laptop shipments rose by 15% year-on-year, reaching 16.9 million units.

Jin10 data reported on July 1st that Canalys data shows that in the first quarter of 2025, the shipment volume of desktop and laptop computers in the United States will rise by 15% year-on-year, reaching 16.9 million units. As manufacturers increase shipments to respond to adjustments in tariff policies, channel inventory has significantly increased, leading to pressure for inventory clearance in the future. Meanwhile, weakened consumer spending is expected to slow growth for the entire year. The annual growth rate of PC shipments for the entire year of 2025 is expected to be only 2%. With a large number of Windows system upgrades set to begin after the end of Windows 10 services in October 2025, the growth rate of shipments in 2026 is expected to rebound to 4%.
