Zhu Su: The XPL liquidation event on Hyperliquid is not a vulnerability, but rather an issue with the shorting strategy of the hedger.

According to Foresight News, Zhu Su posted, "I read the reports about the XPL incident on Hyperliquid. To be honest, I don't think it's a vulnerability (whereas jellyjelly clearly is a vulnerability). The issue isn't that Hyperliquid failed, but that some hedgers were shorting an asset that could rise rapidly. However, nothing stops them from continuing to deposit more funds to short. I guess the only issue is that maybe some people don't understand how isolated margin and cross margin work, so they have a lot of money in their accounts but still got sniped."
