South Korea and the United States will hold a meeting next week to discuss optimizing the U.S. visa system for South Korea.

Jin10 data reported on September 28th, according to South Korean diplomatic sources, South Korea and the United States will hold a working group meeting in Washington D.C. at local time on the 30th. The working group will focus on discussing how to address the visa issues for South Koreans engaged in investment work in the U.S. It is expected that the working group will prioritize discussions on the applicability of the U.S. business visa (B-1 visa) and discuss the establishment of a dedicated window at the U.S. Embassy in South Korea for individuals from South Korean companies involved in investment activities in the U.S. The South Korean side will also actively promote the establishment of new visa categories for South Korean business activities through the working group meeting.
