The new trends in public chains are mainly focused on three directions: ETH + L2, Move + Diem team, and modularity.

ETH+L2

Ethereum Future Development Roadmap:

Move& Dime team + Modular

Aptos and Sui are two highly regarded new public chain projects:

• All originate from the Diem team
• Use Move language
• Claims 100,000 TPS+
• Backed by top investors such as A16Z
• Focus on parallel processing

In terms of modularity, Celestia introduces the concept of a DA layer, pioneering the paradigm of Sovereign Rollup. Dymension from the Cosmos ecosystem is also developing RDK.

DeFi

DEX

• Impermanent loss is considered a feature rather than a problem
• Uniswap has become a true infrastructure, V3 is used to build more complex applications.

Lending

• Asset isolation pools have become standard.
• Multi-chain deployment is becoming a trend
• Innovative applications based on leading protocols have emerged, such as Morpho Labs.

Derivatives

• The "Uniswap moment" of on-chain derivatives has not yet occurred.
