According to the latest news, the cross-chain communication protocol LayerZero Foundation has officially completed the acquisition of the cross-chain bridges project StarGate. This acquisition involves all assets of StarGate, including the protocol, Token, and treasury.

After the acquisition is completed, StarGate's native Token STG will be exchangeable for LayerZero's Token ZRO at a fixed ratio. The specific exchange ratio is 1 STG for 0.08634 ZRO. It is worth noting that this exchange window will remain open for a long time, providing ample exchange time for STG holders.

With this acquisition, StarGateDAO will officially dissolve. At the same time, the staking function of the STG Token will also be terminated. However, for the previously locked STG Tokens, the system will automatically unlock them, and users can redeem them for ZRO Tokens at any time.

To reward early supporters, LayerZero also announced a special program. All holders of veSTG locked before August 10 will collectively share 50% of the revenue from the StarGate protocol over the next six months. The remaining 50% of the revenue will be used to repurchase ZRO tokens to maintain their market value.

The acquisition has long been anticipated. Previously, StarGate DAO had already voted to approve the acquisition proposal of LayerZero, paving the way for this formal acquisition.
