How to find out if I have Bitcoins or other cryptos in my name? See here!

Abstract generation in progress

Hey guys! Have you ever stopped to think if there's any forgotten digital money out there? I confess that I myself have caught that paranoia of thinking that I had bought Bitcoin back in 2017 and completely forgot! I'm going to share how I discovered it - and how you can check too.

How to track your possible lost cryptos

  1. Take a look at your digital wallets

Seriously, start by looking for apps like Metamask, Trust Wallet, or Exodus on your phone or computer. A lot of people download these wallets and then completely forget about them! If you think you did that, try to recover by accessing with your old passwords.

Real warning: If you lost that recovery phrase, it's over! There's no use crying - without the private keys, your money has become a donation to the crypto universe.

2. Digging through old emails

Check your email and look for terms like "buy Bitcoin", "crypto deposit" or names of trading platforms. You may have created an account with a well-known exchange and not even remember it!

  1. Blockchain explorers are your friends

If you remember any public address where your cryptos might be, enter it on a site like Blockchain.com or Etherscan. You can see everything that's there - you just can't take anything without the private key ( think of it as looking at your bank account through glass, without being able to enter ).

  1. Investigating your purchase history

Think carefully, where did you buy crypto? You may have left it right there on the platform. Try to recover access to those accounts - many people have forgotten money in exchanges that they don’t even remember using!

And now, I found my coins! What should I do?

If you managed to find something ( and you're celebrating because Bitcoin is worth over 100 thousand dollars ), transfer it to a secure wallet that you control! These centralized platforms can disappear overnight, especially the lesser-known ones.

Final tips I learned the hard way

  • Write down those damn private keys somewhere PHYSICAL and safe
  • Don't leave everything in just one exchange, it's a recipe for disaster.
  • Hardware wallets ( are more secure, but only if you don't lose the device as well!

Good luck in the digital treasure hunt! And if you find something valuable, call me to celebrate! Or if you don't find anything, don't be sad - the best time to enter this world is right now.
