O
Seeing everyone going out to celebrate the holiday, I couldn't help but join in and went out to play Mahjong. Today's wins and losses all depend on this hand. I got a self-draw; how many times would this hand be multiplied on your side?
After finishing the game and returning home, I feel like the options for games are getting fewer and fewer as time goes on. I took a look around and added @cysic_xyz to my list!
This project was launched in 2022 in the United States, and the founders are all hardware veterans from major companies like AMD and NVIDIA, specializing in "GPUs for the ZK world"—in simple terms, they are creating dedicated chips for zero-knowledge proofs (ZK) to ensure that all ZK products can run smoothly without lag.
Why is this useful?
Currently, ZK technology looks impressive, but in practice, it is quite frustrating: generating proofs is slow, it costs a lot, and mobile devices simply can't handle it; ZKML (on-chain AI) is also so laggy that it's unusable.
Cysic focuses on this point, with chips that are faster and more energy-efficient than generic ones, and it also features a decentralized computing network that can support high-frequency DeFi and privacy verification.
Strong capabilities are also sufficient: they raised 18 million dollars, and top players like Polychain and HashKey have invested. Now the chip has been sampled, the testnet is up, and they are collaborating with ZK projects like Scroll.
Recently became more down-to-earth - launched a $399 handheld mining machine (DogeBox 1), specifically for mining DOGE/LTC, using ZK to ensure every mining operation can be verified on-chain, transparent and not watered down, allowing ordinary people to participate without having to look at the oligarchs' faces.
What it actually wants to do is "ComputeFi": helping everyone monetize idle GPUs and ASICs, and in the future, support AI. This team doesn't just make empty promises; they are seriously building infrastructure, and they are indeed worth paying more attention to #cysic.
