In the storage sector, @irys_xyz can indeed be considered an alternative. It has taken a completely different route among a plethora of traditional storage solutions.

—————————————————————————

🎯 Core Differences

Traditional storage solutions focus on the question of "how to store," while IRYS addresses the question of "how to use."

AWS S3, Google, and other traditional giants provide dumb storage. The data just goes in as data, and to process it, you still need to call other services. IRYS directly turns data into programmable assets, where smart contracts can directly read, modify, and execute rules.

💰Cost Comparison

The cost of storing 100GB of data for 5 years with IRYS is 56 USD, while the same requirement with AWS costs 1656 USD.

The 30-fold price difference is not a result of subsidies but an inevitable outcome of the underlying architectural design. Traditional cloud vendors need to maintain a large operational system, while IRYS distributes these costs across global nodes through a decentralized network.

The pricing of IRYS is anchored to physical storage costs, rather than the token volatility relied upon by other projects.
PS: I just remembered something while writing this, a certain project promised a big return. Basically, the further back we go, the higher the coin price, which means lower costs for you. Covering costs through price increases. Encouraging people to stake and hoard coins 🤣

🔄 Technical Architecture

The multi-ledger system is the core of IRYS. Data first enters the Submit Ledger for verification, and then is promoted to the Publish Ledger for permanent storage.

Traditional solutions either sacrifice security for performance or sacrifice performance for security. IRYS meets the demands of real-time and reliability through layered processing.

EVM compatibility is also available, allowing developers to write logic on data directly using existing tools without needing to learn a new language.

📊 Performance data

Compared to Fil, a well-established decentralized storage solution, IRYS shows significant advantages in data throughput and user activity.

Although Walrus performs well within the Sui ecosystem, it is still not as good as IRYS's vertical integration solution in scenarios involving deep data computation due to the latency issues caused by its modular architecture.

In my personal judgment, @irys_xyz is defining the standards for the next generation of data infrastructure. Turning data into truly executable, tradable, and traceable on-chain assets.
