[Chain News] On October 14, it was reported that the number of weekly independent stablecoin senders on Ethereum has seen exponential growth over the past 12 months. From January 2020 to July 2024, there was an average of about 400,000 per week; starting from August 2024, the weekly growth rate exceeded 1.7%, setting new highs repeatedly. In 2025, there will be an average of 720,000 independent stablecoin senders per week on Ethereum, and just in the past two weeks, the average weekly independent stablecoin senders have surpassed 1 million.

The number of independent stablecoin senders has surged, primarily due to the increasing adoption of stablecoins. For example, in countries with foreign exchange volatility or capital controls, stablecoins essentially serve the role of the US dollar. At the same time, perpetual contracts, prediction markets, and most real-world assets are settled using stablecoins, giving rise to new addresses. Furthermore, as a layer one settlement location, Ethereum has captured traffic from new user onboarding, resulting in a plethora of new stablecoin senders.
