Don't remind me again today

When the market moves like this, it really makes me realize the importance of insurance all over again…

I don't usually think about it, but being prepared for emergencies is truly crucial. Whether or not you have risk hedging mechanisms makes a huge difference in your peace of mind.

The market has a few ups and downs and people immediately start thinking about insurance, I can't believe it. Honestly, before anything happens, everyone thinks they don’t need it. But I have to say, your risk awareness is really on point—much more clear-headed than those who go all in. Insurance is like a spare tire: it's annoying if you never need it, but when you actually have to use it, you realize how valuable it is. Your mindset is completely different—having a safety net and not having one are two totally different things.

I've been through it all—the 2018 wave, liquidated without any hedging. Now, I assess risk exposure before looking at anything. To put it bluntly, it's just a Ponzi scheme. When project teams are making grand promises, they love to talk about risk management, but they're always the first to run off. Insurance? Ha, with those Layer2 contracts offering 100x leverage at the drop of a hat, no amount of insurance can save you.

You are right, it's only when the market falls that we realize how terrible it is to be uninsured. However, most retail investors probably never think about this.

People remember the importance of insurance when the market trembles, but how many actually buy it? Insurance is like putting on a seatbelt; you don't feel the need until something goes wrong, and then you regret it. The mindset is really different; having coverage and not having coverage makes a huge difference in sleep quality. This wave of market events has indeed made people clearly realize how necessary Risk Management is. It's easy to talk big usually, but when the time comes to act, you realize you haven't done anything.

Well, yes, at this moment I realize that being uninsured is like running naked, it's really unsettling. Insurance is something that is truly underestimated; most people only regret it when something happens. Having a safety net really allows a person to sleep soundly.

Well... when it comes to insurance, people only think about it when the market crashes. Normally, no one pays any attention to it at all.
