Don't remind me again today

My five-year-old cousin caught me typing on my phone yesterday. She glanced over, curious, then asked the most innocent question: "Is AlignerZ a person?"

I couldn't help but laugh.

How do you explain a Web3 project to someone who still thinks the internet lives inside the computer? I tried my best, keeping it simple.

Think of it like this: AlignerZ isn't a person, but it's built by people who want to create something new. It's part of a digital world where communities come together, share ideas, and build tools that anyone can use. No single boss controls it—everyone involved helps shape how it works.

She nodded, pretending to understand, then went back to her coloring book.

But honestly? That moment reminded me why this space matters. We're building something that'll make sense to her generation in ways we're only beginning to grasp now.

Haha, the child's question is the most incisive, directly hitting the nail on the head.

Haha, really, explaining web3 to kids is harder than going to college. --- Kids' questions are the most incisive, hitting the nail on the head. --- That's why we're messing around here, right? --- Her continuing to color that scene cracked me up; she completely doesn't get it but also doesn't care. --- When she grows up, she will understand the distributed trap, but it's really hard to explain now. --- The questions a five-year-old asks might be more straightforward than many people's understanding of web3. --- To put it simply, it's about no middleman making a profit; can a kid understand what something is that nobody manages? --- This is a real down to earth moment, a bit healing.

Haha, the kid asked a great question, Web3 really has to be explained from scratch...

Haha, children's questions sometimes hit the nail on the head, much more imaginative than adults.

Haha, sometimes children’s questions hit the nail on the head... The understanding that AlignerZ is a person isn't entirely wrong, huh.

Haha, kids' questions sometimes hit the nail on the head, really... thinking about how to explain these things to my family, it's even more extreme. Web3, to put it simply, is just community self-governance, it's just removing intermediaries, so it's normal for kids not to understand it. But this story feels a bit sweet, indeed giving a sense of paving the way for the next generation.
