Recently, the crypto world has been buzzing.

Ken Chan, co-founder of Aevo, wrote a lengthy article with a pretty heart-wrenching title—saying that he has "wasted his youth" over the past eight years in cryptocurrency. As soon as this was said, the entire community erupted in discussion.

But today, Nic Carter, partner at Castle Island Ventures, spoke out. His stance is completely opposite, directly stating: I don't think these eight years were wasted.

Two industry giants, both with many years of experience, but giving completely opposite answers. One says wasted, the other says no regrets. Which side do you stand on?

Ken Chan is really too pessimistic. On the other hand, if I hadn't entered crypto in the past eight years, what could I have done? At least now I can still complain, which is better than most people.

Ken, this guy has truly been awakened. After eight years of youth wasted on just saying "wasted," he really can't hold it anymore...

Eight years of waste or eight years of accumulation, honestly it all depends on whether you've made money or not, haha.

Ken Chan, what you said really hit home—eight years of youth... But I think the key still depends on what you gained: technical skills, connections, perspectives—are these valuable? Nic Carter's logic can be understood as well, but it feels a bit like a hindsight bias... It's easy to say now you have no regrets, but how did you endure the bear market back then?

It's heartbreaking. Ken's words make me side with Nic... Maybe these eight years haven't made us all financially free, but what we've learned is valuable.

Ken Chan really couldn't hold back anymore, eight years, anyone would need to reflect. However, Nic's response is indeed tough.
