ever wonder why there are three bitcoins?

here is difference between bitcoin, bitcoin cash, and bitcoin sv 👇

> bitcoin (btc)
mainstream version, often seen as a digital form of gold

- supported by "small blockers" who saw it as a long term store of value where transaction speed didn't matter
- has the original blocksize of 1 megabyte which made it hard to scale making it expensive and slow
- used SegWit in 2017 to store transaction and fit more data onto the 1mb block size

> bitcoin cash (bch)
version of bitcoin that split off to allow for greater transaction volume

- created in 2017 through a hard fork by devs unhappy with the SegWit solution
- did not use SegWit, instead opting for a larger 8 megabyte block size
- aligns with the "big blockers'" original desire to make bitcoin function as a medium of exchange aka electronic cash

> bitcoin sv (bsv) - satoshi vision
a further split that is based on what its supporters believe was the original vision of satoshi nakamoto

- split from bitcoin cash in 2018, led by craig wright
- no block size limit
- super low transaction fees and is supposed to be technically superior, 2,000x the transactions per second compared to bitcoin
