Bank of Japan raises interest rates by 25 basis points as scheduled

The Bank of Japan raised the benchmark interest rate from 0.5% to 0.75%, in line with market expectations. The interest rate level reached a 30-year high, marking the first rate hike in Japan in 11 months since January 2025. The long-awaited move has finally happened, and this is the most important data point by the end of this year. #日本加息
