The Clarity Act is expected to pass early this year, but it will not directly affect Bitcoin prices?

Abstract generation in progress

【Chain Wen】The U.S. Digital Asset Market Structure Act, the “Clarity Act,” is expected to be approved by Congress as early as January next year. This news has been circulating quite hotly in the community. However, veteran trader Peter Brandt poured cold water on it: after the bill passes, it may not have a particularly significant direct impact on the price of Bitcoin itself.

But on the other hand, he also admits that this matter still has practical significance for the entire crypto industry. “The biggest benefit of the ‘Clarity Act’ is that it streamlines the regulatory framework for crypto assets, which can eliminate many areas of ambiguity.”

Ledn’s Chief Investment Officer John Glover’s view is similar — the suspense over whether this bill will pass has long been digested by the market. In other words, the market has already priced in the expected outcome. The truly interesting part is how this bill will specifically define those regulatory ambiguities, which could be more important for the long-term development of the entire ecosystem.

If I had known it would turn out this way earlier, the hype is just hype, but once it actually lands, it's all the good news has been exhausted.

That said, clarifying the regulatory framework is beneficial for the ecosystem, but the expectations have already been priced in... We'll see how the specific details are implemented later, and hopefully no new ambiguous areas will be created.

Everyone is hyping Clarity Act, but it was already absorbed by the market long ago... It's just a routine.

Alright, it's another classic move of "when good news is exhausted, it's all bad news"...

Basically, the market has already reacted long ago. Isn't it a bit late to start complaining now?

It's okay, whether the bill passes or not, the price can't go up again; the market has already priced it in. The key still depends on how the subsequent detailed clauses are written.
