#空投活动 Seeing Lighter's recent actions, I have to say—this is the way it should be. Deleting the witch address, clearing self-trades, removing points from wash-trading exchanges, and then redistributing them to the community—this logic is very clear.
Having witnessed too many airdrop projects engaging in "data falsification" firsthand, I am particularly sensitive to this kind of operation. I've seen many projects that do no defense at all during the initial distribution phase, only to realize near token release that they've been heavily manipulated, and in the end, honest participants suffer the most. When the points are diluted to worthlessness, all that effort during that period is wasted.
Lighter only started checking these data in the final stage of Season 2, which shows they at least care about this issue. Although it's a bit late, it's still better than being a Monday morning quarterback. The key is that they explicitly said they will redistribute the reduced points back to the community, which at least ensures fairness in the total amount and prevents honest participants from being indirectly diluted.
Just a reminder—when participating in any airdrop activity, don't get overly excited just because the points are increasing. Think more about how this number is generated and whether it might be significantly adjusted at the last minute. The project's determination to prevent wash-trading often speaks louder than initial promises. This time, Lighter at least proves they are serious about handling this, which is worth noting.
