The Zcash network is independent of any single organization, board, or corporate entity, and will continue to operate smoothly and securely. The Zcash Foundation is the protocol steward, responsible for maintaining and supporting the development of the Zcash protocol, funding independent research and engineering, supporting infrastructure and governance in a decentralized manner, and maintaining transparency, ongoing communication, and collaboration with all ecosystem participants.
