Stablecoins are reshaping how traditional finance and crypto markets intersect. From trade settlement to institutional investment vehicles, these tokens are gaining serious traction beyond retail speculation. What's driving this wave? Better liquidity, lower friction, and institutions finally waking up to the efficiency gains. The bridge between traditional finance and blockchain infrastructure is widening—and stablecoins are the toll road.

This wave of stablecoins is really being laid out by big institutions; retail investors are still playing with fancy trading strategies.

Stablecoins are really the big cabbage for institutions. They were arguing before, but now everyone is here.

NGL stablecoins have indeed gained popularity this time, but the real profit is still made by those institutions; retail investors can only follow the trend.

Listen, this wave of stablecoins is really a lifeline for traditional finance. Institutions are finally dropping their pretenses. Isn't this exactly what we were talking about? JPMorgan is already doing on-chain settlements, who else can stop it? In nicer terms, it's called "efficiency"; in less nice terms, traditional finance can't hold up anymore and has to rely on blockchain to save the day. Stablecoins are the middle ground—whoever controls them will be the next Alipay.

Interestingly, every time I hear the phrase "Institutions have finally woken up," I think of the ICO wave in 2017. Data shows that it was said the same way back then, but what was the result? 98% of projects went to zero. Stablecoins do have efficiency advantages, but the "bridge" analogy is a bit over the top—traditional finance doesn't really need stablecoins on public blockchains to use blockchain technology. Interbank settlements use SWIFT, and there are pilot programs for central bank digital currencies. Ironically, retail investors trading cryptocurrencies and exchanges rely most heavily on stablecoins. Wait, have institutions really entered the market? Or are the trading volume figures just looking good? These are two different things.

How long can this wave of stablecoins stay popular? It feels like institutions are just here to harvest the retail investors.

This wave of stablecoins, to put it simply, is just institutions finally realizing the arbitrage opportunities in on-chain clearing. We've retail investors been wiped out long ago [dog head]
