Someone asked me whether Dusk will challenge Ethereum's dominance. My view is that these two projects are fundamentally on different paths.

Ethereum has long proven itself—a general-purpose computing platform, explosive growth of ecosystem applications, and a mature DeFi market. But its core design focuses more on versatility; not every use case can be optimized to the extreme.

Dusk, on the other hand, follows a different approach. From the very first line of code, it is tailored for financial scenarios. Compliance trading, privacy protection, regulatory access—these features are deeply integrated into the protocol layer. In simple terms, it is a professional tool for the financial sector.

The key point is—Dusk is not targeting the already highly competitive DeFi space. Its goal is to bring traditional assets onto the blockchain—real estate, bonds, equity—things that have not yet been widely tokenized. This is a brand new track, potentially several times larger than current DeFi.

So rather than Dusk aiming to replace Ethereum, it’s more about market segmentation. The market is big enough for both to specialize and excel in their respective areas—that’s the healthy ecosystem of Web3.

Bringing traditional assets onto the blockchain is indeed a blue ocean, but the question is, can Dusk really ensure compliance?

That's right, I agree with this perspective. Instead of getting caught up in DeFi's internal competition, it's better to explore new tracks. Bringing traditional assets onto the blockchain is truly the blue ocean.

My buddy is right, but I still want to go all in on Dusk. I feel this wave is about to take off.

Wake up, this is the correct competitive logic. Don't always think about who eliminates whom; niche markets are the future.

The concept of bringing traditional assets on-chain indeed has greater potential, but the DeFi ecosystem has already been aggressively advancing in that area.

I agree with this logic. Dusk follows a financial compliance route, while Ethereum focuses on a general ecosystem, so there's no conflict at all.

Well, this perspective is quite good and makes some sense. The on-chain traditional assets sector is indeed a blue ocean. If Dusk can really excel in compliance and privacy, there are still quite a few opportunities. Ethereum can be considered as the general-purpose underlying layer, each following its own path.
