Recently, I was chatting with a seasoned investor in the industry, and he asked me an interesting question: "Why do you always buy some lower-ranked coins instead of the mainstream ones?"
That's a good question, so I was honest with him.
Most of the investors I work with are veteran players in the space. Many entered the market between 2013 and 2015, so their understanding of the market is already quite advanced. Honestly, if I were to lead them into trading mainstream coins like Bitcoin or Ethereum, it wouldn't make much sense. Their trading experience and market intuition on these coins are likely sharper than mine. This way, I can't really create genuine value.
Where do my advantages lie? Actually, in researching small-cap coins with explosive potential. These assets tend to be highly volatile — they surge fiercely when they go up, and the dips can be equally deep. For a project I’m currently focusing on, based on technical and fundamental analysis, I personally estimate it could at least double in value within six months.
Here's an important distinction that many people tend to confuse: applying the mindset of buying Bitcoin to my strategy simply doesn't work. Bitcoin's logic is a holding strategy — more like an asset such as gold, where you can hold it with confidence. But high-growth small-cap coins require a deep understanding of the track, the project, and involve different trading rhythms and risk management.
Another point — you might be very skilled at technical trading, reading candlestick charts fluently, but that’s completely different from truly understanding the deep logic of a track or an asset.
Additionally, based on the current market trend, I think the 80,000 USDT level might be the bottom for the next half year. At this point, most of the strategic positions should already be in place.
