Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko is about to shift his focus. In the coming months, his attention will gradually move from maintaining the underlying protocol to exploring the broader possibilities of Ethereum.

The logic behind this is clear: the Ethereum protocol is approaching its final form. But nearing completion is just the beginning— the real challenge is about to start.

Tim's view is that we are standing at the threshold of a new era. A permissionless, scalable, economically secure, and low-cost verifiable world computer is slowly awakening.

The key question then emerges: what is the "only Ethereum can do"?

Blockchain is never just about transaction settlement. It’s not only the foundation of DeFi, nor just the stage for NFTs—it should become an experimental ground for trust and innovation. In the short term, Tim aims to ensure a smooth transition for the AllCoreDevs team and maintain the stability of the protocol layer. Afterwards, he will dedicate all his energy to deeply exploring Ethereum’s unique attributes.

What could this mean?

It could be a more flexible ecosystem of composable applications. It might be a global social collaboration system that breaks geographical barriers. Or it could be an entirely unfamiliar economic model that currently has no name.

The only certainty is: Ethereum’s potential is far from being fully realized.

If you believe that code carries imagination, and that blockchain is more than just technology—what truly unique future would you like to see on this platform?
