So here's how it works—my brain-computer interface gets updated pretty much like any modern tech device. Kind of like how your Tesla pushes new software over the air.
There are basically three channels through which I receive updates for my Neuralink implant:
**Via the app**
Neuralink created this custom application called Telepathy, which I run on both my smartphone and computer. This is my main control hub—it's how I operate external devices directly through thought. The app itself receives regular patches and feature updates, making the whole system more responsive over time.
The infrastructure keeps evolving. Each update refines how signals travel from my implant to the connected devices, reducing latency and improving the accuracy of neural signal interpretation. It's honestly fascinating seeing the software layer iterate while the hardware stays in place.
Much like consumer tech we're all familiar with, continuous improvement means better performance, new capabilities, and bug fixes. The parallel to Tesla updates makes sense because both systems require constant refinement to deliver the best user experience. As the platform matures, these incremental improvements compound into something genuinely transformative for how I interact with the world around me.
