CNN: Iran has expressed to the Trump administration that they do not wish to continue negotiations with special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, and instead prefer to engage with Vice President JD Vance.

This message was conveyed to the United States through secret channels. Iran believes that due to negotiations breaking down before military operations were launched by Israel and the United States, trust between the two sides has been severely damaged, making it difficult for negotiations involving Witkoff and Kushner to produce results.

Trump also stated today that Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Rubio, and other officials are leading negotiations with Iran, and expressed optimism about reaching an agreement, saying the deal is "already in sight."
