Everbright Futures 0324 Gold Review: TACO Trading Resumes, Gold Prices Halt Decline and Rebound
Hot Topics
On March 23, COMEX gold initially fell before rising, closing at $4,410.4 per ounce, a decrease of 3.60%. The domestic SHFE gold night market opened high and fluctuated, closing at 980.00 yuan per gram, a decrease of 1.30%.
The market continues to focus on the U.S.-Iran conflict. After Trump issued an ultimatum indicating an attack on Iranian power plants within 48 hours, pessimism spread across financial markets, and the precious metals market was no exception. However, Trump then changed his stance, claiming last night that the past two days of dialogue with Iran were “productive,” that key points of an agreement had been formed, and that the attack on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure was postponed by five days while negotiations for a broader agreement were ongoing. This shift in attitude reversed the downward trend in U.S. stocks and the precious metals market, indicating that the market’s sensitivity to the situation far exceeds other factors.
For gold, the military standoff in the Strait of Hormuz is gradually escalating to a “pre-fire” situation, and whether the U.S. military will deploy ground troops will become a new focus. This issue may be repeatedly mentioned and traded in the coming days, leading to high volatility in gold prices. Conservative investors may continue to wait and see, while aggressive investors should look for low-price opportunities after the rapid release of pessimistic sentiment.
