Yesterday, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange saw an increase in gold trading volume, while silver and copper trading volumes decreased, with a cautious sentiment prevailing in the silver and copper markets. The trading volume for gold futures was 212,889 contracts, an increase of 17,609 contracts from the previous trading day. The open interest was 411,897 contracts, a decrease of 7,133 contracts from the previous trading day. The trading volume for silver futures was 50,072 contracts, a decrease of 7,481 contracts from the previous trading day. The open interest was 114,610 contracts, a decrease of 419 contracts from the previous trading day. The trading volume for copper futures was 48,248 contracts, a decrease of 4,508 contracts from the previous trading day. The open interest was 232,589 contracts, a decrease of 646 contracts from the previous trading day.
