Minister of Commerce Wang Wen Tao Meets with Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Schreinemacher
On March 26, People’s Financial News reported that on March 25, during the 14th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (MC14) in Yaoundé, Cameroon, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Schreinemacher. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on issues such as China-Netherlands economic and trade relations and WTO reform. Ambassador Li Yongzhao, head of the Chinese Mission to the WTO, attended the meeting. Wang Wentao stated that since the establishment of an open and pragmatic comprehensive cooperative partnership between China and the Netherlands in 2014, bilateral economic and trade cooperation has continued to deepen. This not only aligns with the common interests of both parties but also benefits the healthy development of China-EU economic and trade relations and the security and stability of global supply chains. China is willing to strengthen policy communication with the Netherlands through platforms such as the Economic and Trade Mixed Commission and to properly resolve issues in bilateral economic and trade cooperation through dialogue and consultation. Both China and the Netherlands are staunch supporters and active contributors to the multilateral trading system and are willing to work together to promote practical outcomes in investment facilitation agreements and e-commerce at MC14. The two sides also exchanged views on China-Netherlands semiconductor cooperation and the ASML semiconductor issue.
