ChainCatcher news, according to CBS, multiple sources familiar with the matter told CBS that Iran is expected to respond to the U.S. 15-point peace agreement framework on Friday. According to two sources, U.S. President Trump and senior White House officials have been informed that Iran’s counter-proposal is expected to be delivered via an intermediary on Friday. As of the time of the report, the intermediary had not yet received the response.

U.S. Special Envoy Weitkov on Thursday stated that the U.S. government has submitted a possible peace agreement proposal containing 15 items to Iran through Pakistan as an intermediary. A regional source claimed that Pakistan has direct contacts with the security agencies controlling the state in Iran, rather than just with the foreign ministry.
