GE HealthCare will lead the industrial efforts in the new COMPASS consortium, a five-year, €50.5 million initiative funded by the EU’s Innovative Health Initiative (IHI). This large public-private partnership aims to improve cardio-oncology care across Europe by advancing early detection and prediction of cardiotoxicity in cancer patients and survivors. Utilizing AI, advanced imaging, biomarkers, and integrated care pathways, COMPASS seeks to address cardiovascular complications, which are the second leading cause of death in cancer survivors.
