On March 27 Beijing time, Apple held its 50th anniversary celebration at the Shanghai Jing’an Apple Store. Designer Wang Fengchen presented a fashion show, with celebrities including Gulnazar, Huang Ling, Wen Yanshan, Shu Shi-man, and Xu Wei-zhou attending the celebration.

This is Apple’s second “50th Anniversary Celebration” in China. Last week in Chengdu, Apple CEO Tim Cook unexpectedly came to China to take part in the first event, where Li Yuchun performed as the lead guest.

As of now, Apple has rolled out anniversary celebrations in places including the United States, China, South Korea, and Thailand. Over the coming days, celebrations will continue in the UK, France, Canada, Mexico, India, Japan, and Australia.

In addition to today’s fashion show, on March 28 Wang Fengchen will also take part in a “Today at Apple” session at the Jing’an store, discussing creative design through the iPad. As part of the 50th anniversary celebration, Apple retail stores in Paris, France and Vancouver, Canada will this week host special “Today at Apple” courses related to the anniversary.

It’s reported that Apple’s related celebrations will continue for several weeks. On April 1, the company will turn 50. Apple will hold a series of events to pay tribute to the “extraordinary thinking” and “bold innovation” of the past half-century, and to celebrate the profound impact that users around the world have achieved with Apple technology.
