According to the latest sales figures released by global pure-play wafer foundries for 2025, SMIC ranks second globally and first among enterprises in mainland China.

The company continues to maintain high-intensity R&D investment, with annual R&D expenses of 5.519 billion yuan, accounting for 8.2% of operating revenue, an increase of 1.3 percentage points compared to 2024. By the end of the reporting period, the company had cumulatively obtained 14,511 authorized patents, including 12,621 invention patents; and cumulatively obtained 94 integrated circuit layout design rights.
