The conflict between the United States and Israel against Iran continues, with Iranian nuclear facilities being attacked by the U.S. and Israel, including a nuclear facility equipped with a heavy water reactor and a “yellowcake” production plant.

On Thursday, Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization announced that the “yellowcake” production plant located in Ardakan city, Yazd province, was attacked earlier by the U.S. and Israeli forces. Initial investigations indicate that the incident did not cause any radioactive material to leak outside the complex.

“Yellowcake” is uranium oxide, generally used for refining enriched uranium, typically extracted from crushed natural uranium ore, and is a necessary intermediate product in the nuclear fuel production process, but it cannot be directly used in nuclear reactors.

Additionally, according to Iranian media Fars News, Israel and the United States attacked Iran’s Khondab nuclear facility, where a heavy water research reactor was targeted in an airstrike. Iranian officials stated that the attack did not result in any casualties, nearby residents were not facing any security threats, and there was no risk of radioactive material leakage.
