On the 19th local time, the Israel Defense Forces announced that they conducted airstrikes on the port city of Bandar Anzali on the northern Caspian coast of Iran on the evening of the 18th, destroying several Iranian naval vessels and related infrastructure.

The Israeli military stated that this attack destroyed 1 frigate, 4 missile boats, as well as multiple auxiliary vessels and patrol boats, while also targeting command centers and shipbuilding facilities, with some targets located within the port and others at sea.

The Israeli military indicated that this is the first strike against Iran in this region during the current round of conflict and mentioned that the relevant missile boats have air defense and anti-submarine capabilities, which could pose a threat to the Israeli military’s operations over Iran.
