Sina Finance’s “Wine Price Insider” Launches with a Bang, Real Market Prices of Well-Known Baijiu at Your Fingertips
Sina Finance’s “Wine Price Insider” has collected data over the past 24 hours indicating that the average retail price of major baijiu products in the Chinese market saw a slight increase on March 27. If each major product were sold as a package, today’s total price would be 9914 yuan, a gentle rise of 10 yuan from yesterday. The overall market performance is stable, with the prices of high-end products from the Moutai series rising, slightly lifting the market focus.
Today, the baijiu market saw six products rise in price, three fall, and two remain unchanged. On the rise side, Guojiao 1573 led with an increase of 5 yuan/bottle, achieving three consecutive days of gains; Guyi Gong Gu 20 rose by 4 yuan/bottle; Premium Moutai increased by 3 yuan/bottle, marking five days of gains and reaching a new monthly high; Feitian Moutai, Qinghua Lang, and Shuijing Jian Nan Chun all saw a slight increase of 1 yuan/bottle. On the decline side, Wuliangye 1618 had the largest drop, falling by 3 yuan/bottle to a near 30-day low; Yanghe Dream Blue M6+ and Xijiu Junpin both slightly adjusted down by 1 yuan/bottle. Wuliangye Pu 58 and Qinghua Fen 20 prices remained unchanged compared to the previous period.
The “Wine Price Insider” gathers daily data from about 200 collection points reasonably distributed across major regions nationwide, including but not limited to designated distributors, social distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw sample data reflects the real transaction retail prices from the past 24 hours at each point, aiming to provide an objective, scientific, and fully traceable dataset on the market prices of well-known baijiu. With the official i-Moutai platform starting to sell Feitian Moutai at 1499 yuan/bottle on New Year’s Day and Premium Moutai at 2299 yuan/bottle starting January 9, the magnetic influence of this new channel on the average retail prices of these two products is gradually becoming apparent. The daily published baijiu prices in the “Wine Price Insider” adhere to a weighted calculation rule based on real transaction volumes, and we have incorporated measurable prices into the retail price calculations of the two types of liquor.

In important news for the baijiu industry, renowned auction house Sotheby’s recently released its 2025 market report on wine and spirits, showing signs of recovery in the global secondary market for alcoholic beverages, with increased attention on Chinese baijiu in the international auction market. The report indicates that the total transaction amount for alcoholic beverage auctions in 2025 is projected to grow by 12% year-on-year to 127.5 million USD, with spirits contributing about 20% to the transaction total, ranking first in transaction prices for the sixth consecutive year. Among them, Guizhou Moutai ranked second in the global spirits auction market with a 16% share of the transaction total, becoming the only Chinese baijiu brand to enter the top tier. Throughout the year, Sotheby’s held a total of 69 auctions, selling 26,509 lots and attracting buyers from 63 countries and regions, with about one-third being first-time participants, and the buyer demographic showing a trend towards younger consumers. Additionally, Sotheby’s has launched special auctions for Chinese aged baijiu, featuring multiple batches of Moutai products, including the 1981 “Five-Star” Guizhou Moutai, the 1983 “Five-Star” Guizhou Moutai, the 1983-1985 “Big Feitian,” and “Iron Cap” Moutai from 1986 to 1996.
