Israeli media reported that the commander of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy has died.

On the 26th, Israeli media cited sources saying that the commander of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy died during an IDF operation.

According to CCTV News, the commander was responsible for blocking the Strait of Hormuz and was killed in an attack at Abbas Port. Currently, there has been no response from Iran.

Previously, the government of Hormozgan Province in Iran stated today (March 26) that the U.S. and Israel launched an attack on a residential area in Abbas Port, causing multiple explosions. Local authorities said that after the attack, rescue, firefighting, and security personnel quickly rushed to the scene and called on the public to remain calm and avoid approaching the surrounding areas to facilitate rescue operations.

Additionally, the Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces' Khatam al-Anbiya announced on the 26th that since the U.S. and Israel launched military operations against Iran on the 28th of last month, Iran has hit or downed a total of 202 U.S. and Israeli aircraft, including MQ-9 Reaper drones, KC-135 aerial refueling tankers, and fighter jets such as F-35, F-15, F-16, and F-18.
