Iran strongly responds to US military invasion threats; the probability of US ground forces entering Iran by the end of the month is 16%.
On March 27, Mars Finance reported that Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf made a strong statement regarding potential ground invasion threats, saying: “The United States can’t even protect its own soldiers at bases in the region, having to hide them in hotels and parks. Under these circumstances, how can they possibly protect those soldiers on our territory?” Previously, Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian posted on social media, accusing the U.S. military of using civilians from Gulf Cooperation Council member countries as “human shields,” and called on hotels in those countries to refuse U.S. military bookings. Since the onset of this war, U.S. forces have fled military bases in Gulf Cooperation Council countries, hiding in hotels and office spaces. (CCTV International News) According to monitoring by PolyBeats, the current probability of U.S. ground forces entering Iran by the end of the month on the prediction market Polymarket is 16%, while the probability of entering Iran by the end of April is 63%. Earlier today, informed officials from the U.S. Department of Defense revealed that the Pentagon is considering sending up to 10,000 additional ground troops to the Middle East to provide more military options for Trump as he weighs negotiations with Iran. This potential force, which may include infantry and armored vehicles, will join approximately 5,000 Marines and thousands of paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division already ordered to deploy to the region.
