Yesterday, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange saw an increase in gold trading volume and open interest, while silver and copper trading volumes and open interest numbers declined. The recent geopolitical situation is highly uncertain, and market sentiment towards gold is relatively optimistic. Gold futures trading volume was 148,348 contracts, an increase of 23,743 contracts from the previous trading day. Open interest was 414,078 contracts, an increase of 6,025 contracts from the previous trading day. Silver futures trading volume was 73,064 contracts, a decrease of 39,871 contracts from the previous trading day. Open interest was 117,865 contracts, a decrease of 2,223 contracts from the previous trading day. Copper futures trading volume was 74,337 contracts, a decrease of 29,557 contracts from the previous trading day. Open interest was 249,034 contracts, a decrease of 2,072 contracts from the previous trading day.
