The first ABCDE ZK hackathon project delivery channel is open!

The first summer hackathon launched by ABCDE Capital will officially start on August 14, 2023. This hackathon will provide participants with technical skills in zkSync, 0xParc, Celestia and other ecological & developer communities and other hackathon partners and supporters. Opportunities for networking and project presentations. The competition covers three directions: ZK infrastructure and tools, ZK applications, and other ZK-related themes. The total prize pool currently reaches US$60,000. The final results of the competition will be announced on September 15th on Demo Day in Singapore.

Project Introduction

The 4-week hackathon aims to focus on building zero-knowledge applications and developers around the world will work together to challenge the technological boundaries and create new ZK applications and solutions.

We will provide the best resources for early zero-knowledge technology (Zero-Knowledge Proof) developers, and provide developers with an 8-week ZK online course, whose instructors include Jason Morton, Shumo, Leo Fan, Sun Yi, Jiaheng Zhang et al. help developers gain a deeper understanding of ZK and ZK-related applications. After completing the zero-knowledge technology course, developers form their own teams through the BeWater platform to start ZK project development.

ABCDE ZK Hackathon and zkSync, GSR, Celestia, OtterSec and other sponsors provide developers with a prize pool of 60,000 US dollars (the number of prize pools is still increasing); BeWater, the event platform, will also provide it with comprehensive ecosystem support, This includes help with things like marketing and project funding. In addition, the winning team will have the opportunity to receive investment from ABCDE!

Main track

Our goal is to encourage developers to fully unleash their creativity in this hackathon, so we will not set specific track rewards, but only set competition categories that cover most application types.

While there is no specific theme, we hope that all ideas revolve around ZK knowledge:

  1. ZK infrastructure and tools: In this field, we encourage you to freely create ZK infrastructure and tools to make ZK technology more user-friendly and applicable to various scenarios. Topics include, but are not limited to, novel ZK middleware design, ZK compiler, ZK-DSL, etc.
  2. ZK application: In this field, we encourage you to use the existing ZK technology/framework to achieve innovative creations, such as ZK-based privacy protection, ZK-based on-chain games, etc.
  3. Other ZK-related topics: In addition to the above two areas, we encourage you to fully unleash your imagination and use ZK technology to create more interesting projects. If your project is a decentralized application (Dapp) based on zkVM or zkEVM, and can deploy the project on ABCDE partner platforms such as zkSync.

Let us look forward to seeing all kinds of surprising innovations and adding more highlights to the first ABCDE ZK Hackathon!
