After Powell's speech, reporters speculated that he may have掌握 the US September employment report.

On October 15, CNBC reporter Steve Liesman made an intriguing comment after Powell attended the National Association for Business Economics conference: he heard an intriguing question during the Q&A session. The September employment report has been completed, and all I can say is that there are some rumors circulating in the hallway, all asking, "Did Powell get the employment report? Did the Fed get the report?" We do not know, he has not revealed it himself, but we always feel that he probably—most likely has already received it. Adam Button, an analyst at the U.S. financial website investinglive, also stated that Powell's remarks seem to imply the content of the report: data since the July meeting indicates that the labor market has significantly softened; the balance level of employment growth has notably declined; and there are obvious downside risks in the labor market. Adam Button speculates that based on these statements, the report could be quite bad. ( Jin10 )
