Developers submit compute tasks using Bless’s command-line interface (CLI), such as deploying static sites, running AI models, or executing dynamic applications. Each submission must specify:

  • Required resources (CPU, RAM, bandwidth)
  • Priority and latency requirements
  • Task completion deadline

Developers package all workloads in secure, standardized formats like WebAssembly to guarantee compatibility across network nodes.

2. Task Routing and Matching

Bless maintains a real-time node registry detailing node locations and available resources. The system automatically matches tasks to suitable nodes using optimization algorithms that:

  • Assign tasks to the nodes nearest the end user to minimize latency
  • Distribute workloads evenly across nodes for maximum resource efficiency
  • Rank nodes based on historical performance and reliability to ensure fair incentive distribution

3. Secure Distribution

Prior to assignment, workloads are encrypted, allowing nodes to access only the information necessary for execution. For tasks involving substantial data, required content is securely retrieved via decentralized storage (e.g., IPFS or Arweave).

Dynamic Verification Mechanism

The Bless network employs a Dynamic Verification Mechanism to guarantee the reliability and verifiability of compute tasks. Key aspects include:

  • Task-specific verification: Each task can use the most suitable verification method, optimizing performance and resource use
  • Consensus algorithms: For binary-result tasks, algorithms like pBFT or RAFT facilitate node voting to reach consensus
  • Data aggregation verification: For data-collection tasks (such as crypto price feeds), nodes calculate weighted averages to improve accuracy and filter out anomalies

This mechanism balances efficiency, security, and scalability, enabling the network to support diverse workloads while maintaining robust performance as it grows.

Multi-Device Runtime Environment Support

Bless utilizes a secure, high-performance runtime environment, ensuring tasks on any device are securely isolated and reliably executed. Key features include:

  • WebAssembly (WASM) foundation: Delivers efficient machine code generation and rapid instantiation, supporting multiple programming languages (C/C++, Rust, Swift, AssemblyScript, Kotlin)
  • Secure isolation: Runs tasks in sandboxes to prevent interference with host systems
  • Resource allocation: Dedicated CPU, GPU, and RAM assignment ensures stability, even in resource-intensive scenarios

Bless’s Dual-Token Model

Bless features a dual-token system: TIME and BLESS, working together in the ecosystem.

TIME

  • Purpose: Used to measure and reward node and ecosystem contributions (node operation, app development, content creation)
  • Supply: 100 million tokens minted per epoch, valid only during the current epoch
  • Acquisition: Earned through contributions
  • Cycle: At the end of each epoch, TIME can be exchanged for BLESS; all exchanged TIME is burned

BLESS

  • Purpose: Governance token and the foundation of long-term value
  • Supply: Fixed total of 10 billion tokens
  • Revenue model: Developers pay BLESS for compute resources; 90% of protocol revenue is used to buy back and burn BLESS, and 10% goes to the treasury
  • Economic closed loop: As network usage grows, revenue increases, resulting in greater BLESS buyback and burns—which enhances token scarcity and value
  • Staking: Users can stake BLESS to earn more BLESS; the amount staked impacts a node’s workload capacity—malicious activity results in lost staked assets
  • Governance: Initially focused on value capture, with future plans to introduce governance functions such as parameter adjustments and treasury management
