In case you missed it, Avail is a horizontally scalable, trust-minimized infrastructure network enabling seamless cross-chain interaction, transaction validation, and native liquidity interoperability.

✦ What's Data Availability?

When a blockchain processes transactions, it needs to make sure all the data behind those transactions is publicly available so that anyone can verify it. That’s data availability (DA).

Enigma DA adds client-side encryption to Avail DA, ensuring that data is encrypted before posting.

As you know, most blockchains are public by default — meaning anyone can read on-chain data.
That’s great for transparency, but terrible for privacy-sensitive sectors like healthcare, finance, or government.

Avail allows enterprises to launch confidential rollups using Enigma, where encrypted transactions retain verifiability and full connectivity with public blockchain ecosystems.

The goal here is to validate and compute on encrypted data, without exposing content or metadata.

With Enigma, data sent to Avail DA gets encrypted twice — first at the source, then again before hitting the chain — for maximum privacy.

It’s still verifiable but nobody can see the content except the authorized parties.
