The third batch of tokenized bonds in Hong Kong may connect to the Central Bank Digital Money subscription.

The Hong Kong SAR government has issued various currency bonds worth approximately HKD 386 billion since 2019, and successfully issued two batches of tokenized green bonds in 2023 and 2024. The third batch of bonds will consider tokenization on the funding side and may connect to Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).
