Don't remind me again today

Retail economists are painting an interesting picture right now: consumer sentiment looks shaky on the surface, but the underlying fundamentals? Those remain surprisingly solid. It's that classic disconnect we see during uncertain times—people *feel* pessimistic even when their actual financial position isn't dire. This psychological vs. reality gap matters more than most realize, especially when you're trying to gauge where markets might head next. Weak sentiment can drive short-term volatility, but strong fundamentals tend to win out over longer horizons. Worth watching how this plays out in both traditional and crypto markets.

The gap between psychological expectations and reality... To put it simply, people always tend to worry unnecessarily; in fact, it's not that bad.

Psychological expectations and real fundamentals always clash, which is why the bottom is always the hardest to endure.

Psychological effects can really mess up the market; it feels so far from reality.

ngl this is just mile 20 energy... everyone's hitting the wall mentally but the actual fundamentals? still intact. been through enough cycles to know sentiment crashes don't kill strong ecosystems. short-term noise always feels urgent until you zoom out lol
