A guy in Trinidad arranged to meet someone face-to-face to buy crypto on the 29th of last month, and ended up getting robbed right in the parking lot. He had just handed over more than $80,000 in cash to his companion when two armed men suddenly appeared from both sides of the car, knocked on the window, and robbed them. They took all the money and phones, then drove off.
The police are still investigating, but this serves as a warning—face-to-face transactions carry real risks. If you absolutely have to do an offline deal, choose a public place, bring several people with you, and never go alone with a large amount of cash. Digital assets are meant to be handled online, so why take such a risk?

$80,000 is just gone like that, unbelievable... Next time I'll stick to p2p trading, offline is too dangerous.

$80,000 is just gone like that, unbelievable. Gotta stick to on-chain transactions.
Be really careful with offline transactions!
