Still can't believe some folks genuinely expected crypto tax reporting to magically disappear just because the administration changed. Newsflash: IRS doesn't care who's in the Oval Office. Your gains are still on the books, and compliance isn't optional.

It should be pointed out that this naive political fantasy was thoroughly refuted by on-chain data as early as 2017. The IRS's tax tracing mechanism is not affected at all by changes in administration—this is the technical foundation of U.S. tax law. Clearly, you have not read the relevant white papers.

Do you guys really think changing the president will make the taxes go away? You really think the IRS is just for show, haha.

Hahaha, seriously, those people who think they can evade taxes just because of a change in administration are way too naive. The IRS doesn't care who is in the White House.

There's really no way to avoid taxes, so why are there still people holding onto wishful thinking?

actually... people really thought tax obligations operate like some kind of probabilistic proof system where you just change the verifier and the proof disappears? that's not how computational complexity works lol. the IRS infrastructure isn't exactly a trust assumption you can audit away 💀

Haha, these people are really daydreaming. Do they really think changing the president will let them evade taxes? The IRS doesn’t care who you support.

You're dreaming—tax matters really don't depend on the whims of political parties.
