Burned through Sunday building my first autonomous agent and wow, finally clicked what everyone means by "acting AI"
Grabbed the OM1 Beta build, went straight for that Move and Perception template. Hooked up a FABRIC channel to handle identity layers and permission routing, then threw the whole thing into simulation mode.
The setup was dead simple: agent picks up a task → runs environment scan → passes data to a secondary unit for execution.
Seeing it chain actions without babysitting? That's the moment it stops feeling like scripted automation and starts looking like actual agency. The handoff logic worked smoother than expected — barely any latency between units.
Still rough around the edges but this is exactly the kind of modular agent architecture that makes sense for on-chain coordination.
