CEX’s official announcement states that its internal audit department received a report alleging that an employee used insider information to profit by posting information on official social media. After a preliminary investigation, it was confirmed that the employee was involved with a token issued on-chain at 13:29 on December 7, and relevant text and images were posted less than a minute later. This behavior violates CEX’s policies and professional code of ethics, constituting an abuse of authority.

The employee has been immediately suspended, and further disciplinary actions will be taken. At the same time, CEX has proactively contacted the relevant authorities in the employee’s jurisdiction and will actively cooperate to take appropriate legal action according to applicable laws. In addition, CEX has completed verification of valid reports submitted through its official reporting channel, and a total reward of $100,000 will be equally divided among five early valid whistleblowers.
