I've been thinking a lot about the Zama project these past couple of days, and honestly, it's a bit hard to wrap my head around. The last round had a $1 billion valuation, and now they're doing a Dutch auction with a starting price of $55 million.

Here's my approach: I'll use a small account to place a super low bid that probably won't get filled, and use a main account to place bids within the estimated valuation range. Their presale period is 3 days, and the matching logic is top-down from highest to lowest bid. It starts on January 12, with refunds and token distribution on the 20th.

To be honest, in this market, making huge profits isn't very realistic—it’s probably more like a steady, conservative investment with limited upside. Still, I'm watching to see if anyone shares smarter strategies for participating. After all, with a Dutch auction, your timing really makes a difference in your final returns.

The Netherlands has played this game a few times, to be honest, it's still about who reacts faster and whose price hits accurately. With a 1 billion valuation, doing it like this now feels a bit like squeezing toothpaste.

The Dutch auction strategy is really complicated; it feels like you need to spend time studying it thoroughly.

ngl the dutch auction mechanics here are basically just governance theater... everyone thinks they're gaming the system but the price discovery is already baked in, no real arbitrage window. zama's valuation gymnastics feel more like protocol economics theater than actual innovation

I'm also watching. It feels like even with a $1 billion valuation, they're still engaging in a price war, which suggests no one is particularly optimistic about it.

The logic behind the Dutch auction is really about seeing who has a deeper understanding of the price curve. From the perspective of the hashrate-to-revenue ratio, it's about finding that optimal entry point in terms of cost. Starting from a $1 billion valuation down to a $55 million starting bid, you need to carefully calculate the ROI within this fluctuation range.

I've thought about this Dutch auction approach too. It really comes down to who’s quickest and who dares to place a bid. A starting price of 55 million for a 1 billion valuation leaves very little margin; there’s not much profit to be made. But the key is still about positioning. The price drops quickly at first, but then it basically stagnates.

The Dutch auction is all about psychological warfare. Simply put, it's about who can hold out the longest without rushing in. Listing at a low price is just a trick to fool newbies.

I’ve seen through this Dutch auction trick long ago. Starting at 55 million directly discourages participation. Unless you can really snipe at the very end, there’s no chance.

I've also been studying the logic of Dutch auctions, but to put it bluntly, it still comes down to who acts faster and who has stronger nerves. Starting at 55 million is indeed a bit aggressive; it feels like the big players have already done the math.

This Dutch auction method, to put it simply, is all about who’s quickest and who can stay calm. From 1 billion down to 55 million, such a drastic drop—feels like the latecomers are just bag holders.
